AliExpress has established its largest logistics center in Europe, which is expected to be put into use before Double Eleven!

Recently, AliExpress opened the largest logistics center in Central and Eastern Europe near Lodz, Poland. The logistics center was completed in early October, covers an area of 10,000 square meters, and is expected to be put into use before the Double Eleven promotion. The new logistics center not only supplies orders from AliExpress in Poland, but also supplies orders from AliExpress's neighboring countries in the south and west.

The new logistics center is expected to greatly improve delivery efficiency. Goods shipped from the logistics center will be delivered to major cities in Poland within two days, and to other parts of Poland within three days. Previously, AliExpress's delivery time in Poland took up to 40 days. The center is also expected to become one of the most important logistics centers for delivery to countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany.

The logistics center established in Poland is the largest investment ever made by AliExpress in Central and Eastern Europe. In order to bring consumers a more convenient and affordable consumption experience, Gary Topp, Chief Operating Officer of AliExpress Central and Eastern Europe, said that in addition to the logistics center, AliExpress is also exploring the possibility of creating its own automatic parcel machine network in Poland.

AliExpress is currently actively preparing for its peak season sales. In addition to setting up a new logistics center, AliExpress will also update its mobile application in Poland. During the Double Eleven period, the price of platform products can drop by up to 80%.

The total population of Central and Eastern Europe is 130 million, and the development speed of some countries ranks among the top in the world. According to statistics, in 2020, AliExpress's GMV in Central and Eastern Europe increased by nearly 30% year-on-year, among which Poland is one of the fastest growing countries, with a year-on-year growth of more than 40%.

Among them, favorable prices are the core advantage of AliExpress in the Polish market. The prices of products on its platform are usually much lower than those of other shopping portals in Poland. The latest data from the AliExpress platform shows that compared with other markets, Central and Eastern European consumers prefer "Chinese Style". Local female consumers are particularly fond of Chinese fashion products, such as women's clothing and accessories, among which the sales of customized jewelry have increased by more than 100 times year-on-year.

Although Poland's e-commerce penetration rate is relatively low compared to developed European countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom, its overall growth rate is the fastest, reaching about 19%. And according to a report by the authoritative consulting company Gemius, the scale of Poland's e-commerce market in 2020 is close to US$20 billion, with an annual growth of about 20%. Therefore, there is also huge room for growth in Polish e-commerce.
